Firsts

Our neighbours held a baby shower for us yesterday - the first baby shower... a momentous occasion! It was an amazing afternoon/evening. We had so much fun and our neighbours really spoiled us. So many wonderful and useful gifts for Cohen! I think I've mentioned before that we are fortunate to have fantastic neighbours. We love our little community. Cohen is the first kiddo to join our little neighbourhood so there's a lot of excitement around here lately.

Today was Cory's first Father's Day. We hosted my family, his family, and my sister's in-laws for our annual Father's Day BBQ. 15 people, tons of food, lots of laughs and conversation. A very busy but enjoyable day. Cory was on BBQ duty, his usual role for these functions. Our nephews gave Cohen's swingset a great test run... in the words of the 6 year old, the 2 year old was "not very interested in the rocking horse part" but it sure kept them occupied and smiling for a few hours. It was so sweet to watch Cory playing with the boys. I can't wait til next year when Daddy's own boy will be here!
