Ni hao from Beijing! We arrived here safe and sound around 4:00pm local time. Our flight was not bad at all. We both managed to get a few hours of sleep on the plane. We both have that woozy ferris wheel feeling but a good night sleep should take care of that.
We met a few other adopting families here at the hotel when we arrived. There are 14 families all together, adopting 9 girls and 5 boys ranging in age from about 15 months to 3 years old. There'll be lots of time to get to know these folks over the next few weeks. We're going to share a very special bond with them!
Some of the families were going out for dinner tonight but we decided to stay back in the room and chill out. We're eating some of the snacks we had packed and Cory is watching Get Smart on TV. He must be really tired cause he's finding it way funnier than it should be!!
Tomorrow is a free day but our tour guide offered to take us to a Lama Temple around the corner to hear monks chanting. COOL! We might check out the pool in the hotel and just go exploring. Nothing too strenuous because we found out we leave at 5:00am Monday to fly to Cohen's city.
